I Know What It Feels Like to Be Stuck — and I Know the Way Back
Twenty months ago, my world changed overnight.
My husband of 40 years passed away unexpectedly, and I found myself facing a silence I'd never known before. Blessed to be surrounded by four children and 14 grandchildren, the loneliness was still crushing. I'd spent decades caring for everyone else, and suddenly I didn't recognize myself anymore.
But then I picked up a paintbrush.
For 38 years, I've been creating — acrylic painting, resin work, mosaics, and more recently, embellishing shattered glass into breathtaking art. I've taught decorative painting and architectural finishes to women across the country. I create commissioned pieces and show work in galleries. I've spent decades helping women discover what their hands are truly capable of.
But none of that mattered as much as this: creativity saved me.
Whatever brought you here — grief, loss, transition, burnout, loneliness, self-doubt, or the desire to feel alive again — you belong here.
